Scope of activities

The task of the Section is to disseminate and stimulate the development of broadly understood telecommunications, including information techniques and information society issues.

The activities of the Section also include interdisciplinary problems, in particular the connection of technology - telecommunications and teleinformatics - with issues of economics, telecommunications law, sociology, telemedicine etc.

The section takes patronage over national and international conference events related to telecommunications and ICT, organized or co-organized with the participation of section members.

The Section also patronizes the annual Golden Cyborg awards (statuettes and diplomas) presented to the Leaders of Polish Teleinformatics (elected by the Golden Cyborg Chapter).
